    Radio Geronimo Shortwave : Information.
    Email from radio geronimo:
    Radio Geronimo Shortwave has been broadcasting for over 13 years on shortwave. Mainly through our own transmitters with occasional relays via other transmitters in Latvia and the Netherlands. Geronimo’s own transmitters are currently off air temporarily whilst the station operator Chris Watson relocates from the UK to a new home in Europe.

    Presenters on Geronimo Shortwave include:

    Dave Scott A well known voice in shortwave free radio since the early 80’s. Dave has appeared on many radio stations but is best known for his own station Radio Apollo International which broadcast during the 80’s. Dave now appears on Geronimo Shortwave and also works on local radio in the UK.
    Peter Verbruggen - Peter is of course well known for his highly successful shortwave station FRS Holland, which has broadcast for many years in Europe.
    Dave Miller Dave is from Australia, and broadcasts occasionally on Geronimo with his programmes of Antipodean rock music.

    Chris Watson The station operator and engineer and the technical brains behind Geronimo Shortwave. Chris rarely appears on air himself. He has run shortwave free radio stations since the 70’s.

    Programmes: Generally a mix of classic rock, pop, listeners letters, radio chat aimed at Dxers and radio enthusiasts. A Good old Anoraks free radio station.

    The Future
    There has recently been some confusion amongst listeners about the connection between Radio Geronimo Shortwave, and the internet based tribute website to the original medium wave Geronimo which is run by Chris Bent. There is no connection between the two operations and all correspondence for the shortwave broadcasts should be e-mailed to geronimoshortwave@hotmail.com
    , or by post to our mail drop in Ytterby Sweden.

    Due to the above. A change of name by Geronimo Shortwave is under consideration. Once Chris Watson is settled in his new home in Europe, regular broadcasts through our own transmitters will resume. At this stage a final decision will be made over the future name and format of the station.

    QSL’s
    We apologise for not being able to send you a QSL card at this time. This is due to Chris Watson’s move as mentioned above, which has led to the stocks of Geronimo QSL cards being put into temporary storage. QSLs will be available again as soon as possible.
