UK NewsThe UK commercial broadcaster PrimeTime Radio, which has been on the air for six years, is closing down this evening at 2300 UTC. PrimeTime Radio has featured easy and melodic music from the last 6 decades. Until October 2004, the station - which broadcasts on Sky Digital, NTL Cable, Internet and, until recently, DAB in the London area, was part of the Saga Radio Group. When Saga decided to sell it, it was purchased by Roger De Haan, who had previously been a Saga shareholder. The station has been having financial difficulties, and since the start of the year has been broadcasting recordings of old programmes rather than live ones.
