credit: http://www.dxing.info
A new mediumwave station has begun broadcasting in Alaska on 1110 kHz. DXpeditionists in Lemmenjoki have told DXing.info that KAGV was first picked up on November 20 by Hannu Niilekselä in Finland, presumably with a test transmission. KAGV is licensed to Big Lake, just north of Anchorage, with a transmitter power of 10 kW day and night. Details More News |

Communicator springs a leak somehow
credit: http://radiocarolinenews.blogspot.com
Caroline bosses have strongly denied any knowledge of why the rival ship the MV Communicator has suddenly sprung a leak.Sea water keeps filling the Engine Room of the MV Communicator, which is berthed in a lonely and easy to get to place in the Orkneys, Scotland. It could have been that somebody undercover of a moonless night drove their red Vauxhall Tigra posh car and parked it some mile away and then, wearing a black jacket, black sweatshirt with a picture of the Ross Revenge on the front, black Adidas jogging bottoms and black Nike anatomical running socks inside his Air Max Moto sneakers, walked to the quayside and slipped on board. Although locked up, and made difficult to get onto, it might have been that the person we don't know, was able to climb on board and knew a way to get down to the Engine Room that wasn't locked. Possibly this unknown person had already been on the Communicator in the past so knew exactly what to do once he'd got into the Engine Room. Although nobody knows that anybody did anything, it could be that some panels were loosened in a hard to get to place so making it not easy to be found. The damage he then inflicted in this hidden place just looks like ordinary wear and tear. This could have been why water is now having to be pumped out of the Engine Room, but we must stress that we wouldn't like to speculate. If the Communicator has got a leak it is nothing to do with Radio Caroline. All Radio Caroline staff have a really good alibi, including Mark Dezzani who was accidentally to blame for sabotage before.Dave Miller who owns the Communicator will certainly think twice about not giving it to Caroline, and may now be reconsidering his silly plan of trying to sell it for 25 Dollars when it should belong to Caroline. |

New caroline news blogger/caroline sabotage from italy

clicking on the above link will take you to the news radio caroline news blogger with the latest news from radio caroline. Sunday, November 28, 2004 Caroline Sabotage from Italy Caroline bosses have discovered and told off the man who sabotaged the outside broadcast from the Ross Revenge. The culprit we can name and shame is Mark Dezzani who lives in Italy.Whilst the technology that is used to beam the signal from the Ross Revenge to the main studio was busy relaying the signal, Mark Dezzani decided to overload it with an extra uplink of a recording of his radio show. The overloading caused the music being played on the Ross Revenge to keep cutting out, causing thousands of true blue Radio Caroline fans to think the DTI was trying to jam Caroline like it did in the 1970s. It wasn't the DTI at all, as Mark Dezzani has promised he certainly doesn't work for them in any way. Until his story can be properly checked and verified, Caroline bosses have given him the benefit of the doubt and would like everybody to know that he doesn't appear to be a DTI spy. He says he did the jamming by accident and he is very very sorry. He definitely won't do it again. At one stage he deliberately went out and left the jamming device running even though he wasn't at home. He has denied he did this to avoid being on the scene if his home was raided. It's all water under the bridge now, and although he is being very carefully watched, Caroline bosses are giving him another chance to prove his loyalty by helping raise funds for Radio Caroline. filed by Radio Caroline News at 03:19 |
