Latest Dutch Listening Figures
This news item comes from http://medianetwork.blogspot.com Monday, May 23, 2005 Latest Dutch radio listening figures: good news for John de Mol The latest Dutch radio listening figures for March/April 2005, released by research bureau Intomart GFK, make good reading for media entrepeneur John de Mol. Market leading commercial station Radio 538, which he is buying, has increased its share by 0.5% while its nearest rival, public network Radio 2, has lost the same amount. So last months's 0.7% gap has increased to a massive 1.7%. And Radio 10 Gold, which De Mol also owns, has increased to 5.4%. It means that the two stations, with a combined market share of 17.4%, are comfortably ahead of once-dominant Sky Radio. Its share is more or less static, with Sky Radio itself stabilising at 9.6% after a succession of month-on-month falls, while its sister oldies station Radio Veronica has made only a slight gain of 0.1%. Talpa is selling its other existing station Noordzee FM, whose share remains unchanged. Apart from Radio 2, the public networks remained largely unchanged, but recently-launched Slam!FM, which replaced ID&T Radio, has gone up from 0.7 to 1.0%. These are the shares for March/April (Feb/March in brackets): 01. Radio 538 (commercial) 12.0% (11.5) 02. Radio 2 (public) 10.3% (10.8) 03. Sky Radio (commercial) 9.6% (9.6) 04. Radio 1 (public) 8.3% (8.4) 05. Radio 3 FM (public) 6.6% (6.5) 06. Radio 10 Gold (commercial) 5.4% (5.0) 07. Radio Veronica (commercial) 4.7% (4.6) 08. Noordzee FM (commercial) 4.7% (unchanged) 09. Yorin FM (commercial) 3.0% (2.8) 10. RTL FM (commercial) 2.6% (unchanged) 11. Classic FM (commercial) 2.1% (2.4) 12. Arrow Classic Rock (commercial) 1.9% (2.0) 13. Radio 4 (public) 1.8% (1.9) 14. Slam!FM (commercial) 1.0% (0.7) 15. 747 AM (public) 0.9% (0.8) 16. Arrow 90.7 (commercial) 0.6% (0.5) 17. BNR Nieuwsradio (commercial) 0.3% (0.3) Regional public stations 14.3% (15.0) Regional commercial stations CRN - 2.9% (3.1) Other stations 7.0% (6.9) # posted by Andy @ 20:44 UTC |
