Tsunami Memorial Day New Zealand: RNZI special programming

Sunday 16th January has been designated as a Memorial Day for New Zealanders to remember the victims of the Boxing Day earthquake and tsunami. Radio New Zealand International will be broadcasting the inter faith memorial day service from the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Auckland 0030–0130 UTC including one minute’s silence at 0059 UTC. UK Radio Aid on 17 January for children of the tsunami For the first time ever, all the UK's commercial radio stations will unite on Monday January 17th to simultaneously play out the same, very special programming - "UK Radio Aid". Details are to follow, but will include the biggest names from the UK entertainment industry. The aim is to raise funds for the children of the tsunami. The money will be part of the official Disasters Emergency Committee appeal and be focused towards helping the children affected. Hello Radio informer readers: The mediumwave band in europe is clogging with hundreds of stations.Well we don't know whats on every mw frequency but we can list down what we know and what has come on in the months. Now i locate from s.e. of england and i can get some great radio from holland/germany and afar so heres myloggings of what stations are on where. 558 KHZ Spectrum international(multilingual). 567 khz RTE Radio 1 (eire) 603 khz Capital Gold (Kent /uk) 648 khz BBC World Service.(english) 675 khz arrow rock radio(dutch) 693 khz BBC Radio 5 Live.(uk) 702 was broadcasting some german country station very poor reception. 819 khz last sunday was broadcasting the pirate station swinging radio england. 846 khz last sunday was another pirate broadcast enigma 846 873 khz American Forces Network. 909 khz BBC Radio 5 live (uk) 936khz RTL 1(german) 963/972 khz Club Asia(uk) 1008 khz Radio 10 gold (dutch) 1053/1089 khz Talksport (uk) 1152 khz LBC NewsTalk (uk) 1179 khz Radio Sweden (60 degrees north 630pm/830pm/1030pm english-uk times) 1197 1215 khz Virgin Radio.
