From Newsletter Reader Sid Saucer
David Braysher hopes to establish a music and information station with attention paid to travel news and venues tailored to recognise the needs of the less agile. It would initially be broadcast on the web, focus on Londoners' interests and would depend in part on volunteers. To some extent it would learn from an established precedent in Scotland www.viponair.com. "The idea of this Internet radio station is to promote the rights of disabled people to the community of London by involving able-bodied persons with disabled people by giving them the opportunities of getting into work, in addition giving them skills in radio to communicate with the surrounding areas of London and the Home Counties" - David Braysher, founder of "Reality on Air". David's address is 3 College Drive, Ruislip, Middlesex HA4 8SD. 01895-631 105 For other community radio news see http://www.commedia.org.uk/news-amp-press/ Regards, John Davison |

Big L - Radio London expected back on 1395 kHz soon
![]() credit: http://medianetwork.blogspot.com Big L - Radio London expected back on 1395 kHz soon It's reported that Big L - Radio London will resume broadcasting on 1395 kHz in a few days' time via the Dutch mediumwave transmitter at Trintelhaven. The financial dispute was over the amount of a bill received from transmitter provider Nozema Services, which the station said should have been discounted because the transmitter was on reduced power for three months. Because the bill had not been paid, Nozema Services switched off the transmitter. Big L - Radio London says it will now pay the bill in full in order to get the transmitter back on the air, but will continue to pursue its claim for compensation over the power reduction. # posted by Andy @ 12:10 UTC Listen online: Big L Radio London Listen Live Page |
