Big L- Radio London boss explains silence on 1395 kHz
credit: http://medianetwork.blogspot.com Ray Anderson, the boss of UK commercial station Big L - Radio London, has posted a long message on the station's forum, where he explains why the station is currently off the air on 1395 kHz, the transmitter for which is located here in the Netherlands. Anderson claims to have been misled about the power and service area of the transmitter, and says that "in nearly 4 months, the transmitter only ran on the correct power level for 2 weeks." He also cites a number of other problems that he considers warrant compensation. Anderson confirms that he is now in dispute with transmitter operator Nozema Services, which he says "expects full payment for this bad service, with no compensation, even ignoring our request for a meeting to discuss the matter." So, says Anderson, "We are now in a stalemate situation with neither side prepared to move regarding the matter." However, Anderson says "we have several alternative options involving other service providers. Our commitment to resuming a service on 1395 kHz is still very high in our business strategy." ."Big L - Radio LondonNozema Services # posted by Andy @ 11:22 UTC |

Radio Caroline Heard On1395khz?
![]() ![]() Well it seems that due to Radio london a.k.a big l still being off the air on 1395 khz in the uk that radio caroline is taking advantage of the unused frequency well according to readers of anoraknation who have posted about this in the forum at: http://www.anoraknation.com/threads/4892.html But it could just be another pirate taking advantage as some readers state. Big l went off nearly 3 weeks ago failing to pay money to the transmitter owners nozeema in holland. |
